A beginner-friendly Python programming workshop designed to help you learn by doing, build confidence, solve problems, and make actual progress with personal support.

Workshop Overview

Programming is no longer limited to computer science. It is now useful in business, science, design, data analysis, automation, software development, and countless other fields.

Beginning is often the hardest part. This workshop creates a structured environment where students can start from zero, get personal support, practise regularly, and build real confidence.

No prior experience is needed. All you need is a laptop, basic arithmetic knowledge, and the willingness to learn.

Objectives

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

  • Understand core programming concepts such as variables, conditions, loops, data structures, functions and file handling.
  • Design and develop functional Python programs that apply core programming concepts to solve real-world problems.
  • Gain confidence in thinking algorithmically and solving problems.
  • Develop debugging skills by learning to identify, analyze, and fix errors in code systematically.
  • Be equipped to pursue further learning in programming or related fields.

What's Included

Practical classes

Engaging, hands-on sessions where students learn by doing through guided examples, peer collaboration, direct support, and personalized guidance from student tutors.

Online and physical options

Students can choose between online live classes or physical in-person classes. The physical option currently has 10 seats remaining.

Handouts and digital materials

Key concepts will be summarized, and further learning pathways will be provided through additional materials after sessions.

Weekly assignments & feedback

Concepts taught in class will be reinforced through focused assignments. These will be reviewed and customized feedback will be provided.

Certification

Completion of the course will be rewarded with a Certificate of Completion, validating the participant’s learning and coding skills.

Final project and guidance

Students will complete a practical cumulative project and receive guidance on next steps in their programming journey.

Do I need any prior programming experience to take this course?+

No prior experience is needed. This course starts from the basics and gradually builds up to intermediate-level concepts. All you need initially is basic math and the ability to type.

Can I attend online?+

Yes. Both online and physical options are available. Online students will attend live sessions and receive materials, assignments, and support.

What do I need to bring to physical class?+

You must bring your own laptop. Setup guidance for Python and VS Code will be provided during the first session.

What programming language will we use?+

Python will be used because it is beginner-friendly, widely used, and helpful for learning programming fundamentals clearly.

What operating system should I have?+

Windows, macOS, and Linux are all supported.

What if I miss a class?+

You will be provided with class notes or a recap. If possible, you may attend the same class from another batch after discussing with the instructor.

Will there be assignments?+

Yes. Small practice tasks will be given after most classes to reinforce what you have learned.

Will this help with games, software, or web development?+

Yes. While those areas are not directly covered in detail, the concepts taught in this course are the foundation for all of them.
